Hi, I am Sam.
I am a sole trader support worker based in Western Sydney. I work with six participants on an ongoing basis and I am building a small, steady book of work.
The short version
I spent nine years in residential aged care before moving to disability support work in 2024. The shift was deliberate. I wanted to build relationships with the people I support over years, not see them rotate through a roster.
After a year of casual agency work, I went sole trader in late 2024 to choose participants directly, keep more of the hourly rate, and build a small, sustainable book of work.
Why I do this
The thing that took me out of aged care was the rotating roster. By the time I learned someone's routine, I would be assigned somewhere else. Disability support, done well, is the opposite of that. The same person shows up at the same time, and the relationship is the point.
I am not trying to be a big agency. I am trying to do good work with the same six to ten people, week after week.
What you can expect

- Honesty. If something is not working, I will say so, and I expect the same in return.
- Calm. No rushing, no overbooking, no double handling.
- Respect. Your home, your routine, your pace.
Compliance and registration
I am an unregistered NDIS provider. I hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR, and public liability insurance. I work with plan managed and self managed participants.
If you are agency managed, I am not able to support you directly. I am happy to point you toward registered providers in Western Sydney if it helps.
